Come one come all! Join me for a free community workshop on Monoprinting at Abbotswood Community Centre near Romsey.
This workshop is a 2 hour free drop in session and is a unique creative experience as it is perfect for any age and any ability. It is part of The Big Draw festival.
Monoprinting is a form of printmaking that has lines or marks in it that can be made only once. We will use 'plates' (a flat metal surface, in this instance created with foil and cardboard) to roll on paint, in which you can then make your marks in the using a grand variety of drawing tools i.e. q-tips, sticks, feathers etc. We then place paper over the paint and use a roller over the paper. Once the paper is lifted the image is on the paper, creating your own unique artwork and a fantastic introduction to printmaking.
Suitable for ages 3+. No previous experience necessary. Any further inquiries please contact me.
